Takashi Arai
Takashi Arai, a Japanese artist known for the daguerreotype series of nuclear catastrophes, has been creating a daguerreotype every day since January 1, 2011. Although it was a simple project, it unexpectedly captured the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. This project has now become one of the most pivotal series for the artist, as it draws inspiration from the ever-changing daily life and captures often overlooked subjects.
